Jakob Augschöll began his musical education as a child and learnt to play the horn and piano.
After graduating at the Bruneck music high school, he studied horn as a concert subject and completed a master’s degree in music education and music didactics at the “Claudio Monteverdi” Conservatory in Bolzano. He also attended numerous training and further education courses in composition and wind orchestra conducting with Sigisbert Mutschlechner, Thomas Doss and Eduard Demetz and choral conducting and singing with Simon Mittermair, Heinrich Walder and Sabina von Walther.
Many compositions and projects in the areas of school, youth and education characterise the composer.
