Johannes Brahms (* 7 May 1833 in Hamburg; † 3 April 1897 in Vienna) was a German composer, pianist and conductor. His compositions are predominantly categorised as High Romanticism; however, they go beyond this by incorporating Baroque and Classical forms. Brahms is considered one of the most important composers of the 19th century.
