“Emotionen der Heimat” (Emotions of the homeland) is part of the great tradition of alpine marches with vocals in the trio part. Proud peaks, steep mountains and bright heights of the Region of Tyrol are sung about as well as the homeland solidarity of the Schützen, who always keep watching over the beautiful land given by God’s hand in peace and in difficult times.
Franz Rieder, the well-known conductor, musician and music teacher, composed this March Song on the occasion of the 26th Alpine Regional Meeting of the Schützen in Passeier (Val Passiria)/South Tyrol in May 2022. Wind ensembles from all parts of the country performed the work at the festive event.
This work, which can be performed both as a pure instrumental piece and as a March Song, can be played well from intermediate level upwards.
