The firey opening work “Fanfare for Hope” is an interplay of dissonance and harmony, of unease and comfort, and captures the complexity of human emotions and experiences in times of crisis.

This fanfare is not only a tribute to the power of hope, but also an artistic expression of resistance and the possibility of transformation. It is a musical ode to the human ability to rise up in the midst of external storms and inner doubts. In the very centre of the piece – expressed by a heartfelt flute solo – the seedling of hope sprouts. This motif is passed through the various registers in a skilfully varied form and ends in a brilliant fortissimo.
